First Impression
It is not completed yet and it would need some suggestions or opinion about how it could be balanced or improved because it is meant for advanced role-players with serious head on their shoulders. But for newer role-players, it will be a sink-or-swim deal for them because I planned this to be only be one demon per account due to the adversity they posed for both the user and the receiving ends of this style.

The Demons
Introduction
Typically, the demons are universally superpowered creatures that used to rule over the realms scattered throughout Earth, but their presence dwindles with the rise of Mankind, Hollows and the people of the Soul Society. The only things left of them are pictures and hobbyist's beliefs in Paganism. But like matter, once it exists, it cannot be destroyed entirely; Demons still exist, yet dispersed due to internal conflicts. Residing in the Soul Society are demons who proclaimed themselves as, "Za Hankamihan-nin." Moved to Hueco Mundo are demons who proclaimed themselves as "El'Diablo." Remaining on Earth are the ones whom are still believed to be the neutral force of nature, but under a different identity, "Die Erdegeist." It is a mystery to the universe; why they are not present in everyday life and how could they affect it if not even the Shinigami or the Arrancar is aware of them?

Primordial Serpents
Each clan of demons has three Primordial Serpents, thus each one of them represents the nine alignments. While others roam freely, three are locked in their respective worlds; Earth (True Neutral,) Hueco Mundo (Chaotic Evil,) and Soul Society (Lawful Good.) Originally, they are omnicorporeal like other demons, but unlike them, they can transcend and become corporeal, thus being able to interact with people who are not demons. Typically, they appear as a twenty-legged serpent with a neck that extends twenty feet and a tail that extends sixty feet. Their head is best described as a snake without eyes and a mouth with fangs that could pierce through steel. Their reiatsu color does correspond with the colors later on in this post.

In terms of their power, they are immortal, meaning that you can kill them, but they will come back as if nothing happened as they are the gods over the Demons, though they are weaker than the Spirit King (each one is nine times weaker than the Spirit King.) They will not be happy that you tried to kill them, but they mostly will not care because as a price for their powers, they cannot do anything more than to guide people to their destiny and grant them Demon Eye, a passive ability explained later. It is noted that they are never fond of light, so they generally come out at nighttime and will scowl at the person to shut the light off should it be shined on them.

Final note: Primordial Serpents are strictly NPC's, thus nobody can play as them except for staff members or the persons they designated as the ones to control them. They will not give out Demon Eye willingly as they have a very high standard to expect because Demons are meant to be very formidable for Vice-Captains and Minor Espada Members in a direct confrontation. So each Primordial Serpent has a wide range of reasons why they do not allow a lot of people to have Demon Eye.

Demon Eyes and Omnicorporeality

Typically, demons cannot be seen, heard or be affected by anyone who is either is not affected by a Primordial Serpent's Demon Eye ability or has not possessed a fragment of a demon's soul. However, not being affected by Demon Eye or possessing a fragment of a demon's soul can also grant the person a natural immunity to all forms of direct interactions (except for Possession or Reaping) from demons other than from the Primordial Serpents. This is called, "Omnicorporeality," which means "the existence of a godly being." To simplify; the demon cannot affect a human being (for example) other than to insert a piece of their soul into the human being or by taking a piece of the human being's soul while they are unconscious or unable to do anything to counter it while a human being cannot see, hear, smell, taste, or touch the demon. Being infused with a fragment of a demon soul can make the person stronger by a sub-tier (or a major tier if it exceeds its sub-levels.) Consequentially, possessing a demon soul's fragment will attract other demons more frequently than ignored on hindsight while the infused character still will not be able to sense anything from them, so it is likely that demons can stalk and commit to indirect hazards to render the character unconscious or unable to do anything defensively before reaping. However, when approached by a Primordial Serpent, they will be granted an opportunity to relinquish their immunity and become able to see, hear, feel, smell and taste demons, as well as being able to combat them at the cost of demons being able to attack the person with Demon Eyes. Note that demons can still interact with each other, thus they can also attack their own kind for more power through reaping and acquire demon servants through possession.

In the broad essential knowledge by demons, Primordial Serpents are the only ones who can grant an outsider (a race different from their own) the ability to discover them and defend against them through the Demon Eye. The recognizable sign of being affected by the Demon Eye is when the person's good eye (left or right) will change color and appearance when displaying a trait similar to the demons that the Primordial Serpent represent. Za Hankamihan-nin's Demon Eye flares up when in the presence of El'Diablo's and vice-versa while the Erdegeist's Demon Eye will flare up if their respective Erdegeist's realm is threatened either by an desecrator or a member of the other two demon alignments. The Demon Eye is a passive, so even if not flared up, those affected by it can detect demons unless their sensory is compromised by an outside force (like Kyokko or Hakufuku.) However, given to the alien origin of Demon Eye, most societies would consider it as a bad omen or an unsavory mutation that has to be dealt with somehow either with examination for possible dangers or by exile. Even as of now, the Primordial Serpents have not chosen anyone to affect with Demon Eye because they see it as a poor investment to simply toss a soul into the dragon's den. If they did give the person Demon Eye, a lot of demons will be considering it to be an extremely rare case and enough to be considered a legend after a single moment (one in a billion chances in over two millennias...or enough zero to become the Planet Jupiter's new atmosphere.)

Dimensional Inconsistency
Original Version:

Revision 1: The demon is a race of convoluted eras that made them ranged from recent to primeval. The inconsistency of their time, space and form allows them to alter their personal time-space so they can appear in the past or into the future (when from the past) in various locations.

It is typical that a demon would choose a race that is common and has less profiles such as Humans, Shinigami and Hollows, but it is rarity for a demon to take a risk of using a higher profiled races like the Vizards, Arrancars and Quincy. When taking that form, they can use their demon spells while on top of abilities they learned as that race. In a rare case when the demon attained an ascended form of that race (like Bankai or Segunda Etapa,) they can use the basic format of their chosen race's abilities (like Shikai.) When they change their chosen race, they have to start it all over from scratch and there is no saved memory to retain old abilities. On top of that, it requires them to take a large portion of their soul fragments to change their race (3 Major Tiers.)

Power of Soul
Demons are highly dependent on how strong their soul is. Za Hankamihan-nin often refrain from stealing souls to become stronger and rather take the souls when they are defeated; the El'Diablo's greed leads them to hoard souls to increase their soul body's potency, making their physical capability and spiritual capability to rise significantly with their soul body; the Erdegeist can derive their soul body's strength from the deaths around them, but only to aid their realm in healing after each fight. Collectively to them, it is the power of their soul that mattered vitally compared to skills, which are only based on how sophisticated they are with their style of combat and utilities. So to say a tier A-2+ demon can--by a fraction of an ounce--overwhelm a tier A-2 Shinigami with mastery in strength in a simply arm-wrestle while if they tied, it will be a draw until one comes up with a technique to tilt the favor of odds. In terms of magical abilities; a S-class demon could rival the power of any spell higher than Hado 88 while an E-Class demon can only rival the power lower than Hado 10. Typically, their reiatsu color are based on their alignment and only a member of their own alignment can identify their specifics, meaning that a Lawful Good demon cannot know about who is the Neutral Good or Lawful Neutral person specifically, but can know the exact person who is Lawful Good. The alignment colored reiatsu followed in the chart below...

Lawful Good = Sky
Lawful Neutral = Mint
Lawful Evil = Pink

Neutral Good = Sapphire
True Neutral = Emerald
Neutral Evil = Ruby

Chaotic Good = Royal Blue
Chaotic Neutral = Deep Ocean
Chaotic Evil = Black

Possession and Reaping
Typically, possession relates to taking control over a person with a weak soul and reaping is taking the soul away from the persons. However, the methods are different than speculated. A demon uses possession by permanently damage their soul (1 sub-tier reduction) to extract a fragment of their soul and insert it into the target to both increase the target's tier by a sub-tier permanently and to make the target easier to find for that demon and other demons. Once possessing a demon's soul and died without any soul left other than that demon's soul, the target becomes the demon's servant until it is rewarded a demon stone, a prized possession for all demons. Za Hankamihan-nin use Possession as a beacon for them to guard the person they inserted their soul fragment into as other Hankamihan-nin will be able to identify the soul fragment from their own kind.

Reaping is a technique of drawing out soul fragments from a live target (note by "live" it means a character has to be animated in anyway possible, spirit or not.) Each soul fragment is equals to a single sub-tier; in the event of "+" or "-" suffixes after the sub-tier, they individually count as a soul fragment as well, thus it takes longer to bring a A-2++ to A-3++ (by 5 soul fragments) than with the A-2 (by 3 soul fragments.) Very few demons can take more, but most can only one soul fragment per turn. When defeating a foe, the demon can gain more than one soul fragment as a reward, damaging the tier permanently for the foe should they be spared while enhancing their soul body's power. The amount they take as a reward is based on how high their current major tier will be, like A-tier loses 5 soul fragments if defeated while F-tier only loses one soul fragment if not killed already.

To reap a target without fighting is considered an unsavory choice of action for Za Hankamihan-nin while it is considered a pride of being a predator for El'Diablo and a necessity for survival for Die Erdegeist. While it is possible for a member of an outsider race to surrender to the reaping, it is considered extremely rare because no one was given the Demon Eye ability from the Primordial Serpent at all in their history. The most common way is to find someone sleeping or in a comatose state (generally when the person is unable to move or defend against it.) However, the other way is to find a site of a chaotic incident (like a fight) and wait until one is defeated, when one is defeated, then it is easy picking if that person is still alive to reap as it will be a big waste of time if the defeated was obliterated. If there are multiple demons observing the incident, they would either make bets to see who is right and gets to have a share of the defeated person's soul fragments, or they just fight among each other and the victor gets the collective soul fragments from the demons the victor defeated along with the person who is defeated in the original fight. Should a Hankamihan-nin be present on site, one of the combatants must be guarded by that Hankamihan-nin and thus even if defeated, the Hankamihan-nin will defend the defeated from other demons.

Should they hit the peak of their existence (like S-2++,) they cannot reap anymore and start losing their major tier with each soul fragment gained after that point as their body will become too strained with the amount of souls they collected. It is possible to kill someone with reaping, but normally will take a long process, but when the person hits F-Tier, they either become unable to see spirits if they are Humans, or become literally blind to everything as a spirit. If hitting the lowest (F-5--) through reaping, they become permanently incapacitated unless revived through a possession process. The next time they are reaped after F-5--, they die--simple as that. Refer to the list below for examples based on "A-2++" being original and keep in note that it will change in accordance to the Character Tier thread located in the left sidebar under "The Rules."

  • A-2++ = 5 soul fragments until sub tier drop. 10 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-2+ = 4 soul fragments until sub tier drop. 9 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-2 = 3 soul fragments until sub tier drop. 8 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-2- = 2 soul fragments until sub tier drop. 7 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-2-- = 1 soul fragment until sub tier drop. 6 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-3++ = Sub tier dropped. 5 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-3+ = 4 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-3 = 3 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-3- = 2 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • A-3-- = 1 soul fragments until major tier drop.
  • B-1++ = Major tier dropped.
(MATH WARNING) The total soul fragment from F-5-- to S-2++ is 158 soul fragments.
Spoiler:
Demon Stones and Reincarnation
It is what keeps the demon in existence, but it is difficult to acquire because it will require a large twin fragment of their soul to solidify (two major tiers permanent reduction.) The other part of the requirement is for the demon to retain their specific alignment; should the demon stone be crafted from the soul of a law-biding good demon, the demon has to remain law-biding and good to prevent their demon stone from crumbling after creation. Should they stray from their specific alignment, their demon stone will start crumbling, making it more fragile. Without the demon stone, the demon is mortal and unable to reincarnate, thus their existence will cease and what was left of them are given to the one who killed them, increasing their power through reaping. If they did have the demon stone, they can die indefinitely until their demon stone  is destroyed. So to say it is possible for a demon to get killed so much they become F-5-- and can still die some more through reincarnation.

Reincarnation is only reserved for demons who are capable of maintaining the stability of their demon stone as with the demon stone, they can die indefinitely and still return to life. However, if they die while under a binding spell, it will take them longer to return to life. Through reincarnation, they can change their natural appearance, cosmetics (like voices) and personality, but it will be difficult to change the personality because reincarnation forbids ignorance and forgetability.

Anomalies, Curses and Miracles
Generally demon spells are spells that will take a toll on them should they commit to it, but it can turn the tide of combat drastically. So to say, depending on how powerful the spell is, the more soul fragments they will need, thus also means they will also suffer permanent tier reduction for using them. There are three kinds of demon spells; Anomalies for affecting general locations while indirectly affecting outsiders. Curses are offensive spells that all demons would at least know one of them and it applies to any alignment, but to affect outsiders, they have to recognize that the person is affected by a possession and that soul fragment is strong enough to become a medium through the outsider's strong emotions. Opposite from Curses while still requiring that medium, Miracles are defensive and supportive spells that can enhance other demons and protects them when Curses would harm them; to an outsider, a miracle requires them to be vulnerable to demonic interactions.

Anomalies are spells that demons can use to affect the area around them, performing indirect effects such as igniting, freezing and summoning. There are three types of Anomalies; Area, Instance and Summoning. Area affects the area that starts from the demon as the epicenter going outward. Instance affects the entire area of the thread, meaning that the more general the thread is located in, the more taxing it will be for the demon to use it while they have no prior control over it. Arguably the cheapest method is summoning as it simply creates an animated entity like a dinosaur or a mouse as they will act under the command.

Curses are spells that demons can use to harm or hinder other demons normally, but they can also harm or hinder outsiders. The three types of Curses are worth noting; Power, Rapid, and Spread. Power is about getting things done hard and in one go as a curse either will last an extremely long time, even transcending through multiple threads or cause heavy to severe damage to one spot or a small area. Rapid is about stacking the damage and have them collectively cause detrimental havoc to targets, though weaker than Power Curses alone; they typically last very short period of time, so a Rapid Curse is easier to manage if one has very hardy defense. Though just as risky to use as Power Curses, Spread Curses can fire off a spread field of the curse, affecting people within the cone; it is as fast to use as Rapid, but it relies on the collective pieces, which can accumulated to be more devastating than Power Curses.

Miracles are spells of protection and support, thus demons can support their allies, and then defend themselves from Curses and byproducts of Anomalies. They can also defend themselves from Cero, Kido and other magical/spiritual attacks from outsiders. There are three kinds of Miracles; Support, Protect and Restore. A Restore Miracle deals with healing and curing people of curses and ailments. Protect creates barriers and shells to protect their allies and themselves from harm, though it is considered extremely expensive to consider overall invincibility. Support deals with enhancing people and stacking the favor for their side.

Za Hankamihan-nin of Soul Society
"The Demigod" in Japanese are typically either aligned with good or lawful as they are usually think of themselves as higher-than-thou and perfect due to their observation upon Shinigami and the instability of their culture while the culture of Za Hankamihan-nin reflects purely by doing the right thing or by obeying order. Regardless of race, gender and alignment, a Hankamihan-nin usually act in defense of those they either chose to be the guardian of or the Soul Society against El'Diablo while they frequented the habit of ignoring Die Erdegeist due to the belief that Nature is beneath them and they rule over all primitives. When they defend a specific person, they would leave a sign that the person they are defending will have to pay tribute to them in order to be protected from El'Diablo and Die Erdegeist. When the person happens to be either of pure innocence, very goodhearted or very honorable, they can choose to follow them as their superior and will fight to the death to defend that person from any threat.

The organization style for their society is entirely based on Monarchical Hierarchy. Disobeying the chain of command and the superiors are met with exile.

El'Diablo of Hueco Mundo
"The Devil" in Spanish are typically either aligned with evil or chaotic as they are primal by nature and often fights among each other to survive in the harsh world of Hueco Mundo; they do not care about law or order, some will become disobedient and reckless to get what they intended to get for survival. They typically would take servants and use them as an active source for soul fragments or apply possession to create a medium for them to "haunt" their target by creating anomalous events to spook the target enough that the soul fragment resonates well enough to allow their powers to bypass their immunity to demonic activities, thus makes it faster for them to kill the target and get their servant that way. What would annoy them more than seeing another demon doing a possession is seeing that an Erdegeist's soul fragment in the target they are after; so while they are natural enemies of Ze Hankamihan-nin, they are also the rivaling faction of Die Erdegeist. If that happens, El'Diablo will simply reap whenever the person is incapacitated.

The organization style for their society is practically a big scoreboard where the one with higher score is the bigger target and the toughest among them and if they are weaker than their place, it will be marked as a deep disgrace, resulting in exile.

Die Erdegeist of the Planet Earth
"The Earth Spirit" in German are typically either aligned with neutrality or a variation of it. While the Demigod demand civilization and the Devil demand survival, the Earth Spirit are very territorial about the sanctity of their realm. Whenever any demon or outsider enters their realm (which can be a grotto, a piece of a forest, or in urban landscape,) they will get their attention as they watch them carefully. If they did something that the Erdegeist does not like, the Erdegeist will create events that their cousins would normally not be able to do, manipulating their realm's landscape to punish them and reap should they fall unconscious, or use possession to make them a bigger target to demons than normally. Thus this leads to the belief that if the person upsets an Erdegeist, they will be cursed to grow weaker and weaker until they either turn into an Erdegeist or make amends for their sin towards the Erdegeist as atonement. Should the outsider did something good for their realm, they will use their powers to reward the person indirectly in form of a loyal animal companion or a piece of edible fruit as a sign of thanks.

They have no organization as each respect their own domain and nature. Thus it is impossible to have any benefit or consequence since they don't associate themselves at all unless the likelihood of the Great Demon War is inevitable. When that happens, the entire Erdegeist network will flare up and start acting collectively, becoming a temporary coalition called, "Earth Force" solely to end the Great Demon War on Earth.

APPLICATIONS

D-E-M-O-N-S
This race will require skills, strategy, and management of both tiers and relations to play this race effectively. Due to their power, death is expected at all times when playing this race. So if you do not like seeing your character dying, do not play this race!
You have been warned!
~UHCM~

Essentials

Name: [The name of your demon.]
Social Alignment: [Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic]
Moral Alignment: [Good, Neutral, Evil]
Demon Class: [Hankamihan-nin (Lawful/Good,) Diablo (Chaotic/Evil,) or Erdegeist (Neutral)]
NOTE: Demons never belong in an organization other than their own society, thus why Organization was left out. Take this note out when finalizing this application.

Preferred Gender: [They do not have a gender and they do not reproduce in their true form, but they can in their Racial Form.]
Preferred Age: [They are technically ageless, so they can become a specific age-group.]

Racial Form: [Minimal: 5 sentences with picture, 8 sentences without it. Mind to note what race they chose to turn into and keep in mind that they have to choose only one and can only switch one for another one.]

True Form: [Minimal: 5 sentences with picture, 8 sentences without it. Mind that it is what they naturally are, thus they can shapeshift all they could, but they cannot permanently change from that.]

Personality: [Minimal: 8 sentences. To help you; think about what they like or not like, how would they react to situations like romantic encounters or a fight, and how would they behave when having fun or was upset about something.]

History: [Minimal: 12 sentences. Think of three paragraphs of four sentences each or two paragraphs of six sentences each. For three paragraphs; you can start out with what you used to be, how you become a demon, and then how it progressed to now if you like.]

Role-Play Sample: [Minimal: 8 sentences, 10 sentences to be safe. It can be for your character or from a previous role-playing session as along the staff knows that you are good and fair with your style while people can still understand you. This is writing-based role-playing, not chat-based role-playing, but this is also a casual role-playing, so as along we can understand you without the 1337-speak or shorthands (like lol or brb.)]

Racial Abilities
This can be filled out by using the section from another race's application. If you are a Shinigami for a racial form, you must have Shinigami related abilities like the Zanpakuto and Kido. Should your Racial Form reached an advanced level of form (like Bankai or Segunda Etapa,) they can use their respective racial abilities in their true form at a basic level (like Shikai or Resurreccion,) but should they switch race, they have to start all over from scratch so think deeply about altering your character please.

Demon Abilities

Demon Stone: [Yes or No; if Yes, where and how? Note that if you do have the Demon Stone, the checker will have to subtract two (2) major tiers from your original; meaning if you are Tier-D, you will be Tier-F or if you are Tier-A, you will be Tier-C. If the checker says that you will not have a demon stone and will have to role-play to attain it, you have to because your character would be too weak to survive after attaining it.]

Demon Spells
College: [Which type is more your general focus: Anomalies, Curses or Miracles. You can come up with a hybrid from two of three of them. The benefit from having only one is unlocking Concentration, which if you use the specified college, you have more options of spells to use in that Concentration. You don't have to have one.]
Concentration: [From the college, which is your focus so you can have better spells to choose from; if you are a hybrid, this is impossible to achieve. You don't have to have one.]
Specialty: [Choose only one spell that you can use without having to sacrifice soul fragments. You can choose to explain what it is and what it does, but they are normally found in Applications as these have to be staff-pre-approved spells, not custom spells that goes with the application. You don't have to have one. Think carefully because once it is set, changing it will result in denial of character approval because it is ultimately impossible for any demon (even if they are gods) to change their specialized spell.]

[based on if you defeat someone before reaping. Reaping someone who is incapacitated is fixed to 1 Soul Fragment per turn. This is for quick reference and should not change. Changing it will result in automatic denial of this character.]

  • Cost: [How much soul fragments will it cost? Talk with a staff member if you want a more precised cost to fulfill the purpose. Normally, a spell will cost 1-5 soul fragments (from a simple fire bolt to a fireball.) Exceptional or hybrid spells are 2-10 soul fragments (Hybrid: Electrified Water Whip to a Tempest.) Master Spells or Triforce are 50 soul fragments (Divine Intervention or Triforce: Wrath of Nature.)]

  • Purpose: [What does it do? Avoid describing about how hard it will hit or how much damage it would do in an area. Power and Size are determined by Tier.]

  • Incantation: [Normal spells will need one sentence, exceptional spells or hybrid spells will need two sentences, and master spells or triforce spells will need ten sentences divided by two sentences per turn.]

  • Dance: [Describe what your character does to channel the spell through movements. It is considered a dance because it can be repeated and it is considered a moving representation of the spell's nature. Normal spells can be a short dance or a dance that takes up a full turn; Exceptional/Hybrid spells usually takes up two full turns; Master/Triforce spells will take up five full turns to complete the spell effectively.]

...Please rework this greviously on the part of reaping, and the sight, as it is confusing, and seems alittle not possible. So tone it down and give more reasonable explanation

I have a huge problem with the whole time system, since it needs to be explained better since it seems a little unfair of a demon escaping battle by a means of time travel or could overwhelm someone by having multiple existence and seems like a shit ton of trouble to manage the character when both exist at the same time.... So could you explain this to a balanced state or limits on this so that the people, that we all know will come around that may or will abuse potential.

Also would a Hybrid be possible for this race?
